Wearing your baby is a safe, simple way to having a happier baby. There are many options for babywearing: slings, pouches, structured carriers, wraps.... what they all have in common is the belief that your baby deserves to be held close to you most of the time. When you wear your baby, it is easier to see and hear the clues that let you know what she wants. Wearing your baby does not “spoil” him. It allows your baby’s needs to be met more quickly, and increases your baby’s trust in you.
We offer beautiful bundles baby slings for sale, and our gift to you is one basic sling if one of our doulas attends the birth of your baby.
We will begin offering babywearing clinics in the summer of 2007. For a minimal fee, ($5 single, $8 couple) we will have several different types of baby carriers available for you to try, with an appropriately weighted mock infant. Slings, pouches, structured carriers and wraps will be demonstrated.
